Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association

The Exporters Associations have been established with the aim of contributing to the improvement of exports, carrying out export related transactions on behalf of their members and coordinating business activities and relations of exporters, finding solutions to their problems and providing guidance.


Exporters engaged in different sectors join associations depending on the type of their business operations. Each association has a board of directors, whose members are elected by their exporters.


Istanbul Ferrous And Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association was found in 1986 under the General Secretariat of the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters’ Associations, which is abbreviated to IMMIB. IMMIB has its headquarters in İstanbul and renders its services to its active members. With it’s more than 7000 member companies, Istanbul Ferrous And Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters'  Association Sub-Sectors stated as;

  • Construction Materials

  • Kitchen and Household Utensils

  • Hardware, Metal Packaging

  • Welding Materials


Our work and general scope related to our sub-sectors are as follows.


  • To organize national pavilions at leading sectoral fairs worldwide,

  • To conduct trade delegations and market researchs,

  • To provide seminars and training programs for our member companies

  • By organizing, R&D Project Market and Design Competitions our association brings industrialists, academicians, students and entrepreneurs together in innovative and progressive projects , to ensure that our sector gains new values,

  • To provide sectoral and country based reports for our members,

About Hardware Sector


Hardware sector is a sector complementary to Construction, Automotive, Defense, Energy, etc. along with Connection Elements, Locks, Hand Tools, Furniture Accessories. The sector has made a positive contribution to the economy with $1.65bn export  and $1.37bn imports in 2020. 55% of our exports were made to European Region, 25% to MENA, 10% to American continent and 10% to Far East and other regions.

We organize info stand participation, purchasing committees, sector trade committees, seminars and trainings along with National Participation organization for large fairs of the sector.
